The Science of Fire in our Woods – Smokey Bear Birthday Celebration
The Vermont Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation is partnering with the ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain to celebrate Smokey Bears Birthday with a special one day program looking at the science and ecology of Fire in our Woods in Vermont. This event will feature story hours, opportunities to meet Smokey, and several hands-on activities for children to learn about Fire, the role fire plays in Vermont’s ecosystem and wildland fire fighters.
